In 2006 she opened her photography business out of her home. In 2007, along with her husband, she opened her Studio on the Square in Historic Downtown Waxahachie. Marie tries to be an "out of the box" photographer. She is inspired by commercial photography. Her clients often times share that her images look like they came out of a magazine or advertisement. She finds the beauty in the everyday and ordinary and tries to capture life unposed. Marie continues her photographic growth by having creative and photographic mentors whom regularly critique her work. She attends seminars and workshops and belongs to professional photographic organizations.
