About WDMA
Who We Are
We Have a Vision
The Waxahachie Downtown Merchants Association has grown to be a financially successful, independent, non-profit organization supporting 100 members that are friendly business partners collaborating to create an active downtown. Through these efforts, downtown Waxahachie is a top-ten destination in Texas for shopping, dining, entertainment and events where every building is full of thriving businesses and happy residents.
We Have a MIssion
We are like-minded business owners and supporters who have a concentrated vision. We work to make Downtown a beautiful, safe, viable, and profitable location for the community to shop, dine and attend sponsored events. We encourage economic growth and success while supporting fellow members through peer referrals, shared ideas, and best practices resulting in community awareness and professional development.
We Support Businesses
The WDMA was formed by a small group of merchants in the mid 1990s as a means for businesses to work together to make the downtown area a viable and integral part of the city. Today, the association boasts a membership of over 50 individuals and businesses working together to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere for our visitors. Membership is open to all businesses and individuals that are interested in promoting the downtown area.
We Meet Monthly
The WDMA host a monthly membership meeting for anyone interested. These meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 8:30 A.M. at the City of Waxahachie Parks & Recreation building located at 401 S. Elm. This is a time wherein members can gain information & insight into the Downtown activities, have updates on events, and creates opportunities for the merchants to grow as an organization.
